The Sound Teacher provides professional support to infants, children, adolescents, adults and seniors. The Sound Teacher works with clients of any age to establish specific developmental, learning, academic or personal challenges, and to discuss expectations and outcomes.
The Sound Teacher – Who can benefit?
Listening distortions can occur for many reasons: repeated past ear infections/glue ear, congestion/allergies, and trauma. Listening distortions are also associated with language, processing, memory and attention difficulties, dyslexia, ADHD and predominantly inattentive, anxiety, autism and social and communication difficulties.
The Sound Teacher can offer help and advice with education and learning challenges, attention, balance and control, as well as primitive reflexes and reflex integration.
The Sound Teacher is a Qualified Teacher of Deaf Children and Young people (QToD) and can support in understanding the implications of hearing loss with the Deaf learner, parents and families, teachers, and all involved agencies especially in the context of education.
