Both the Tomatis and Feldenkrais Methods show your brain that we can learn different ways of communicating and moving than the ones we are accustomed to use. Your brain then uses that information to find more efficient ways to go about interacting and moving in the world so your range of motion increases, your movements become more comfortable, and your relationships in your life become easier and more enjoyable.
Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais developed his Method in order to help others learn about themselves from a physical point of view. He created movement lessons to give to classes as well as a system of working with individuals one on one, using a person's ability to move in order to stimulate their neurological system.
By combining the Tomatis Method with the Feldenkrais Method, your brain gets more layers of information which it is able to reorganize into more efficient and effective communication and expression in every aspect of your life.

I am a Tomatis practitioner as well as a Feldenkrais practitioner. The Tomatis Method examines and expands your capacity to listen, comprehend, and communicate, while the Feldenkrais Method examines and expands the range of your body movements. Both are Somatic learning methods which use different sensory systems to stimulate the reorganization of your neurological pathways.
Our brain’s capacity to reorganize its way of making things happen is the basis of learning. Somatic learning methods stimulate our brain’s ability to process new information, come to new ways of thinking, and learn new ways of reorganizing how information is recognized, analyzed, and responded to.
Neurologists have discovered that our brains learn faster when more than one of our senses is stimulated, because our memories involve all our senses at the same time. By combining the auditory/vestibular stimulation of the Tomatis Method with the motor stimulation of Feldenkrais Method, I am able to help you discover significant ways to learn and change in many areas of your life much more quickly and effectively than using only one Method at a time.
I have a studio in Charleston, South Carolina.
