SelF -Sound Education for Learning Foundation- has as goal to improve learning and well-being. SelF works from the philosophy that learning originates from a healthy well-functioning body and uses a variety of different methods and techniques, including the Tomatis Method, to try to awaken the ability for learning. The Tomatis Method is integral for establishing the learning foundations; improving relaxation, decreasing anxiety and stress; boosting confidence and self-esteem together with great progress in reading, writing, handwriting and maths. Auditory processing plays a fundamental part in the learning process as language flows through all subjects and effects behaviour and well-being. Its foundation originates in the womb through the relationship with the mother's voice and forms the blue print for language and communication in later life. SelF promotes the Tomatis Method for pregnancy to support these foundations where it matters most. In the initial assessment a broad range of information will be gathered, including a Tomatis Listening Test, which will guide remediation and progress aimed at building a solid foundation from which learning and regulations of feelings and emotions can start to happen. SelF works with people diagnosed with ADD, ADHD, Anxiety and stress disorders, Auditory Processing Disorder, Autism, Developmental Delay, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, Personal and other related learning difficulties and offers group and individualized programmes.
